Baselane and DoorLoop overlap less than the search suggests. Baselane is a free banking and bookkeeping platform for landlords, with rent collection and Schedule E reports built in. DoorLoop is a full property management platform with owner accounting, leasing, maintenance, portals and unlimited users, priced with a monthly minimum.
Baselane is a financial technology company and is not an FDIC-insured bank.
Short answer: If you own your rentals and want separate property bank accounts, books, Schedule E and rent collection, Baselane Core costs $0. If you manage for owners or need leasing, maintenance and portals in one system, DoorLoop One costs $239 a month minimum month to month ($199 on yearly billing).
Best for:
- Best for free banking and Schedule E: Baselane Core, because both come at $0.
- Best for managing other owners' properties: DoorLoop One, because owner statements, distributions and an owner portal are in its base plan.
- Best for leases, maintenance and listings in one app: DoorLoop, because Baselane's pricing page doesn't list them.
- Best for zero tenant ACH fees without a big subscription: Baselane, because ACH into a Baselane account is free.
We haven't used either platform with our own rentals. This comparison is based on each company's public pricing pages.

- Visa debit cards with spend controls, and fee-free cash at 55,000+ Allpoint ATMs
- Property-level income and expense tracking and a consolidated ledger that syncs outside accounts
- An accountant tax package and Schedule E reports
- Rent invoices, reminders, late fees, a tenant portal and autopay
- QuickBooks and Xero sync
Baselane Smart adds auto-tagging, custom categories, balance sheets with automatic depreciation, cost segregation schedules, receipt auto-matching, 2-day rent deposits, shared access and priority support.
Baselane's pricing page doesn't list leases, e-signatures, listings or maintenance requests.
DoorLoop One lists owner statements, distributions and 1099 forms, live bank sync, budgeting and dashboards, QuickBooks Online sync, maintenance with a vendor portal, tenant and owner portals, listings, applications, a prospect CRM, showing scheduling, unlimited eSignatures, unlimited users and full API access. Connect adds an AI Receptionist Agent, and Multiply adds Maintenance Ops and Lease Renewals agents.
DoorLoop's pricing page doesn't name a Schedule E report or offer bank accounts of its own.
Using both: DoorLoop's live bank sync connects your bank accounts for reconciliation, so a growing landlord could keep Baselane accounts for banking and move management into DoorLoop later. Neither pricing page says whether a Baselane account connects to DoorLoop's bank sync, so ask DoorLoop before you plan around it.
