Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Landlord Software Directory at landlordapps.com (the “Site”), operated by JW Consulting & Transportation LLC (“we,” “us”). Contact: [email protected].

By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

What the Site is

The Site is an independent, free-to-browse directory and set of guides about software that may be useful to small landlords and property managers. We publish research-based summaries, comparisons, and dated pricing notes drawn primarily from vendors’ own public pages.

Not advice; no professional relationship

Content on the Site is for general informational purposes only. It is not legal, tax, accounting, financial, real-estate, insurance, or other professional advice. We are not your attorney, accountant, broker, or fiduciary. Always check current vendor pages and consult qualified professionals before you buy software or make business decisions. Your use of any product named on the Site is solely between you and that vendor.

Accuracy and changes

We try to keep prices, fees, and features accurate and to show when we last checked them. Vendors change offerings without notice. Pages may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. We may update, correct, or remove content at any time. See our methodology.

We have not hands-on tested most products unless a page expressly says we have. We do not publish star ratings or user reviews collected by us.

Affiliate links and paid placements

We may earn commissions from affiliate or referral links. Paid placements (Verified, Featured, Sponsor) are available and are labeled. Payment does not buy a better editorial ranking, a changed verdict, or altered facts about a product. Details: Disclosures.

Outbound “Visit” links may go through our /go/ redirect for disclosure and measurement. Third-party sites have their own terms and privacy practices.

Accounts

Browsing the directory does not require an account. If we later add accounts or vendor dashboards, additional terms may apply.

If you purchase Verified, Featured, Sponsor, or similar placements through our advertising pages and Stripe Payment Links:

  • Prices and what’s included are described on the Site at purchase time.
  • Featured and Sponsor are subscriptions billed by Stripe until canceled; Verified is typically a one-time fee as stated at checkout.
  • Placement is advertising inventory, not an endorsement, ranking purchase, or guarantee of traffic, leads, sales, or search ranking.
  • Labels such as “Sponsored,” “Featured · Paid placement,” and “Verified” will appear as described in our disclosures.
  • We may refuse, pause, or remove a placement that is misleading, unlawful, or inconsistent with these Terms or our editorial standards, with refund handling as required by law and Stripe’s tools.
  • You must provide accurate company and product information.

Cancellation and billing changes for subscriptions are handled through Stripe’s billing tools or by emailing us; we will point you to the correct Stripe flow when needed.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, harvest, or overload the Site in a way that harms availability (ordinary search-engine crawling of public pages is fine)
  • Attempt to break into, disrupt, or reverse engineer non-public parts of the Site
  • Misrepresent an affiliation with us
  • Use the Site for unlawful purposes
  • Submit malware or abusive content through any contact channel

Intellectual property

The Site’s design, original text, compilation of the directory, logos we create, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors. You may link to public pages and quote short excerpts with attribution for non-commercial commentary. You may not republish substantial portions of the Site as a competing directory without our written permission.

Vendor names, logos, and product marks belong to their owners. Listing a product does not imply endorsement by that vendor of us, or by us of that vendor, beyond what a page expressly states.

DMCA / copyright complaints

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with: (1) your contact information, (2) a description of the work and the allegedly infringing material (URL), (3) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, (4) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act, and (5) your physical or electronic signature. We may remove or disable access to material as appropriate.

Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT CONTENT WILL BE COMPLETE OR CURRENT.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JW CONSULTING & TRANSPORTATION LLC AND ITS MEMBER(S), AGENTS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON ANY CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR PAID PLACEMENTS IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED.

Indemnity

If you are a business purchasing placements or linking to the Site in a commercial way, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your product claims, your advertising creative (if any), or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

Third-party links

Links to vendors and other sites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, privacy practices, or availability.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Tarrant County, Texas (or the federal courts for that district) will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief anywhere to protect our rights.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on the Site and updating the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes to paid-placement terms will not retroactively alter a purchase already completed except as required by law or as you agree.
